My son’s experience with James M. for AP calculus tutoring was excellent. My teen son is not one to express enthusiasm for much of anything, but nonetheless he made a point of telling me what a really good teacher James is, and even told me once that I should sit in on a session to see for myself. I hired Alexander Tutoring to help my son prep for the math portion of the SSAT middle school exam. I had interviewed a few different tutoring services, but I ultimately went with Alexander Tutoring. I was impressed by Sean’s approach to teaching and philosophy of encouraging inspiration. We worked with James, who was amazing. Alexander Tutoring is really awesome! Our family and our student are really happy with the results from the summer tutoring program. Our tutor James was very pleasant. He explained each learning objective so it could easily be understood. He was also able to quickly identify target areas and offer educational tools and solutions. The program is very organized and hits the target - to increase interest, confidence, and ability in math. We have completed the summer program and periodically receive follow up lessons to keep our student’s math skills on point. My daughter worked with James near the end of her 4th grade year. She’s a bright kid, but math is a subject she was never very interested in. James was able to make it interesting and engaging. I highly recommend these guys if you have a kid that’s just not that excited about math.
