Talent is limitless. Opportunity is not.
Infinite Opportunities
Across our communities, talent is everywhere. Andromeda Education provides free, one-on-one math tutoring to students from vulnerable communities, from 7th-grade Pre-Algebra through Algebra 2 and Trigonometry. Together, we close the opportunity gap: one student, one tutor, one opportunity at a time.
Our impact since 2022
Real tutoring. Measured results.
Students and hours: January 2022 to June 2025, students who completed at least one term. MAP growth: average fall-to-spring gain of 6.7 RIT points against a projected 3.3, across 266 results, 2022 to 2026.
The opportunity gap
Children don’t lack talent. They lack access.
Math gaps compound: a student who starts 9th grade behind rarely catches up without sustained, individual support. Families who can afford it hire a tutor. Most of our families can’t, and their students sit in math classes of 30 to 40, where no teacher can focus on one student.
Our model
What makes Andromeda different
- True one-on-one. Never small groups: one student, one tutor, 55 minutes, every week.
- Professional tutors. Vetted, trained, and supported with ongoing professional development.
- The same tutor over time. Returning students keep their tutor, so trust builds year after year.
- Growth is measured, not assumed. Students take the NWEA MAP math assessment each fall and spring.
- Beyond the math. Tutors build study habits, planning and self-advocacy, the skills that carry into every class.

D’ondria: from struggling in geometry to college
After two tough geometry classes with no extra support, D’ondria spent three years with the same tutor, Krishann — “a math mom,” she calls her — who also helped with scholarship applications and college essays. Today she studies kinesiology in college.
“I didn’t know I was going to make it to college.”

A note from our founder
Why I started Andromeda Education
I started Andromeda Education because I’ve seen firsthand what happens when a child is given the right support at the right time.
I grew up in a community where talent was everywhere, but opportunity wasn’t. I watched brilliant kids struggle not because they didn’t care, but because they didn’t have access to the resources, encouragement, or one-on-one support they needed to succeed.
There was a moment in my life when a teacher took the time to believe in me. He gave me his time, his guidance, and his confidence in me. That moment changed everything. It opened a door I didn’t even know existed.
And I knew then that I wanted to spend my life opening doors for other kids.
Andromeda Education is that promise. It’s personalized tutoring. It’s mentorship. It’s someone saying, “You can do this.” It’s late nights, small wins, and big breakthroughs.
But we can’t do it alone. We need people who believe in kids, in second chances, and in the power of opportunity to transform a life. Will you join me?
